Mary Frances Spriggs Sherwood

Mary Frances Spriggs Sherwood, 87, of Lawrenceville passed away Monday, April 29, 2024 following a period of declining health.

Born April 3, 1937 in Dawson County to the late Raymond and Nellie Spriggs, she had lived in Lawrenceville since 1967.  Frances was formerly employed by Sears Credit Department after which she was employed in the corporate office of Waffle House until her retirement in 1998.  She was a devoted member of North Metro First Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening, travel, and spending time with her family.

Surviving are her daughters and sons in law, Laura and Dwight Bues, Sterling, VA, Linda and Ken Vickery, Dacula; and grandchildren, Jack Bues, Charle Bues, and Matthew Vickery.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at 1 o’clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel.  Dr. Frank Cox will officiate.  Interment will follow in the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 12 noon until the funeral hour.
