Mrs. Mary Sue McKinzey Whitmire, age 80, of Gainesville passed away on Wednesday April 24, 2024 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center, Gainesville Campus.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday April 27, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with Rev. Ken Anderson and Rev. Mark Whiting officiatinbg. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Friday April 26, 2024 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.
Mrs. Whitmire was born August 15, 1943 in Hall County to the late Gordon and Una Holland McKinzey. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Jean Whiting.
She is survived by her husband, Neil Whitmire of Gainesville, son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Donna Whitmire of Gainesville, daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Matthew Juge of Winter Springs, Fla., sister, Roberta Scroggs of Oakwood, grandchildren, Billy Wight, Aiden Juge and Justin Juge, great grandchildren, Cyrus Wight, Willow Wight and Elijah Wight. She is also survived by a number of other loving relatives and friends.
