A lifetime resident of Hall County, David was born September 8, 1970 and the oldest child of Rev. William “Billy” Poole and Marie (Brown) Poole.  He attended Maranatha Christian Academy and was a graduate of Lanier Technical College.  He obtained the rank of Eagle Scout as a teen, later achieved the rank of third-degree Mason, and holds a pilot license.  He served on the board of directors for Northeast Georgia Boy Scout Council and was a member of Murrayville Masonic Lodge #30.

David was born with a naturally sweet and kind soul, a heart of gold, and a big smile for everyone he met.  He was a joy to be around and his caring spirit and generous heart could be felt by anyone he came in contact with. David had a special gift of not only seeing the good in people but bringing out the best in them as well. He was an avid lover of the outdoors and spent much of his time outside, in the mountains, or at the beach.

David enjoyed helping others, making people laugh, tinkering with things to make them work, and was a gun enthusiast.  Although he was strong willed and stubborn at times, he also had an enormous heart and wonderful sense of humor.  He was generous and brave and full to the brim with knowledge gained through all his life experiences.  He could truly fix or build anything.

Just shy of his 9th birthday, David accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior at the home of Pastor Jesse Savage and was later baptized by his father, Rev Billy Poole.  He was a member at East View Baptist Church.

In addition to his father, David is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Rev William “Henry” and Amanda Poole, maternal grandparents, Delma and Myrtle Brown.  He is also preceded in death by a number of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Enjoying 29 years together, David is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Robin (Martin) Poole.  Also left to honor and remember his love is his son, William “Jacob” Poole, his mother, Marie (Brown) Poole, and sister, Amy (Poole) Chosewood.  David was also the fun-loving uncle to Michael, Abby, and Millie Kate Chosewood.  A host of other family members and friends also survive.
