Travis Milton White

Obituary Date: Thursday, April 18, 2024

Travis Milton White, 76, was called to his heavenly home on April 18, 2024. His family was blessed to be able to spend his last earthly minutes by his side. Mr. White was born on August 5, 1947, in Hall County, Georgia. He was the son of Milton Roosevelt and Grace Williams White. He married Geraldine Smith on October 1, 1966, in Hall County. Mr. White was a member of Chattahoochee Baptist Church in Flowery Branch, where he served as an usher. He led his family to Christ and raised his children in church. He was a machinist at Wrigley’s Chewing Gum Company and retired after thirty-three years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ernest White, sister Hazel White Bernat, brothers-in-law Aaron (AW) Smith, Charles Anglin, Ed Healen, and sister-in-law Genene Adams Smith.

Travis is survived by his wife, Geraldine, son Chad (Rhonda) White of Clermont, daughter Crystal (Jeff) White Bottoms of White County, son Mark (Maggie) White of Bradenton, Florida, sisters Hilda Anglin, Janet Healen, Virginia (Bobby) White Gilstrap, several nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his faithful cat, Sam.

Grandchildren Caleb White, (Ashley), Heidi Burnett (Jesse) Neal, Holli Burnett (Jorge), Kaylee Rae White (Dylan) Shadburn, Jenna White who Pappy affectionately named “Geno”, Wyatt Bottoms, Carson Bottoms, and great-grandchildren, Aaron White, Aden White, Bella Monzon, Wren Monzon, Banks Neal, and Raelynn Belle White.

Travis enjoyed restoring antique cars, of which he owned many over the years. He loved showing his cars at car shows and won many trophies. He shared his love of car shows with many friends, most of whom passed away.

He was a humble and quiet man who was loved by so many. We will greatly miss him, but knowing he is with our Lord and Savior comforts us.

Memorial services will be held Monday, April 22, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. in the Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel in Gainesville, Georgia. The family will receive friends on Monday, from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service.  Pastors Allen Taylor and Trent Smith will officiate.
