Jill Louise Greilich

Jill Louise Greilich, age 84, of Dahlonega, Georgia, USA, died peacefully April 18, 2024. Jill was born July 16, 1939, in Lanigan, Saskatchewan, Canada. Jill was best known for a musical life played with "Heart and Soul." In her youth, Jill lived in Watson, Saskatchewan and studied piano via the outreach of the Royal Conservatory of Toronto; music gave her immense joy.

Jill graduated from the University of Saskatchewan-Regina. She immigrated to the United States as a young adult and became an American citizen. Jill married Gerald ("Jerry") Greilich on January 17, 1974. They recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. She was employed by Genesee Bank and by Zimmerman's Lab as a laboratory technologist. Jill and Jerry lived in Flushing Michigan, Venice Florida, The Villages Florida, and most recently in Georgia. She enjoyed music, flowers of all kinds, birding, Florida sunshine, golf, and her toy poodles. 

Jill is survived by her husband Jerry, daughter Nancy (Steven) Doepke of Rockford Illinois, son James (Karen) Greilich of Murrayville Georgia, and grandchildren Anne, Elizabeth, Justin, Cooper and Connor. Jill is also survived by her stepson Duane (Michelle) Greilich and family of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, and stepdaughter Denise (Ken) Swartz of Farmington Michigan. Jill is further survived by her older brother Jim (Olga) Walmsley and twin brother Jack (Marion) Walmsley of Canada.

Jill was preceded in death by her parents Lloyd and Viola Walmsley and her sister Barbara. 

Graveside funeral services will be held on April 23, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Dahlonega Memorial Park. Deacon Steve Reece will officiate. May "Clair de Lune" shine upon her forever.
