Stephie (Stevie) Wayne Howard, of Cleveland, Georgia, went home April 17, 2024, at the age of 61.
Stevie Wayne, as his friends and family knew him, was born to Jimmie Lee and James Howard, Sr. on November 27, 1962. He was one of 9 children. He was proceeded in death by his parents, James Fattie Howard, Sr., Jimmie Lee Wilkins Howard and sisters, Debra Johnson, Diane Roberts and Linda Roberts.
Surviving family includes his daughter, Crystal Wolfe (Nathan) of Cleveland, GA; one son, Michael Smith (Jessie) of Cottonwood, AL; daughters, Miranda (Mark), of Bainbridge, GA, Melissa Freeman of Dothan, AL, and Felicia (Brian) Burge of Cottonwood AL; grandchildren, Aubrey (Dakota) Seabolt, Bobby “Lawson” Wolfe Jr, Kadance Blalock, Kaleb Blalock, Breanna Bjork, David VanWagner, Makenzie Smith, Blake Smith, MyLeigh Smith, Jameson Smith, Hannah Mathis, Dylan Mathis, Terry (KK) Anders, and Jasmine Smith; great-grandchildren, his baby girl Eelyah Izabelle Wolfe and Terry Dwayne Anders; siblings, Stacy (Gavin) Smothers, Lisa (Robert) Mathis, Bernice (Terry) Brannon, James Howard Jr., and Willie Howard.
Mr. Howard grew up in Midland City, Alabama. He left school early to help support his parents and siblings. Working manual labor jobs and doing mechanic work, he learned many trades to continue his career in mechanics and carpentry.
He later went on to marry Tammie in 1984, blessing him with 4 children. In 1985, Crystal La Shea was born. Over Stephie’s career he was employed by Bondy’s Ford, Jimmy’s Heating and Cooling, Morgan’s Plumbing and Electric, and R&D Landscaping. He was a dedicated employee and became family with everyone he worked with.
From pulling motors to building porches, Stephie always stayed busy enjoying life. He loved to travel with and go cruising with his family.
