Sybil Louise Pressley Simpson

Mrs. Sybil Louise Pressley Simpson, 77, of Gainesville, passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center Braselton Campus following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, April 19, 2024 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Johnny Latty will officiate. Interment will be in the Simpson Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home Thursday, April 18, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Born on May 2, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Howell and Marthie Hix Pressley. She was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Simpson was preceded in death by her grandson, Grover Simpson.

Mrs. Simpson is survived by her son, Gus Simpson; daughter, Angie Simpson; son and daughter in law, Greg and Joy Simpson all of Gainesville; grandchildren, Shawn (Alicia) Simpson, James (Emma) Simpson, Caleb Simpson, Brandon (Ashton) Simpson, Hanna (Taylor) Whitmire, Haley (Brock) Murphy, Cory Simpson all of Gainesville; sisters and brother in law, Virginia (Jacky) Simpson of Commerce, Jackie McDaniel of Commerce, Sue Wilson of Pine Mountain, Rosie McDaniel of Bostwick; numerous great grandchildren and a number of nieces, nephews and other loving relatives.
