Mr. Gary Frank Williams, age 74 of Toccoa passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2024 in Augusta, Georgia.
A son of the late Thomas E. Williams and Addie Grace Wilmot Williams, he was born May 10, 1949 in Stephens County, Georgia where he lived all his life. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in Vietnam. He was a self-employed farmer. He loved gardening, fishing, bowling and playing his guitar and loved his dogs. He loved his family and extended family and had a great love for his country. He was of the Baptist faith and a member of Rock Creek Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Joan Walker and Jackie Moore and by a brother, Emory Williams.
Survivors include his daughters and sons-in-law, Stephanie and Bucky Simmons, Tonya Williams and Brian Pace and Lindsey Williams and Chase Arrowood all of Toccoa; grandchildren, Ashton Simmons and Easton Arrowood; sisters and brother-in-law, Annie Mae Davis and Bonda and Terry Sheriff both of Toccoa; brothers and sister-in-law, Hampton and Hilda Williams of Snellville and Danny Williams of Wynne, Arkansas; a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Friday, April 19, 2024, 2 o’clock p.m. in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Harris Pressley officiating. Military Honors will be by the U.S. Army Honor Guard.
