Raymond Henderson

Raymond Henderson, age 77, of Buford, GA, passed away on Monday, April 15, 2024. He was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Woods Henderson; parents, Thurmond and Nancy Henderson; sister, Opal Owens; brothers, Thurmond Henderson, Jr. and Eddie Henderson. Mr. Henderson is survived by his children, Stacey (Rahmeke) Woods of Jonesboro, GA, Kimberly Henderson of San Antonio, TX; five grandchildren, Stacey Woods II, Collin Woods. Xarius Henderson, Maia Beard, and Jakema Cassell; four great-grandchildren; brothers, Billy Ray Henderson, Jacob Henderson, Leroy (Karen) Henderson; sisters, Peggy Ann Harris, Alice Faye Frazier, Risby Butler. Mr. Henderson was born August 23, 1946 in Buford, GA. He received his education at Buford High School, Buford, GA. He was retired from the City of Buford Gas Dept. with over 30 years of service. Mr. Henderson was a member of Allen Temple Methodist Church. He was an avid fisherman and loved hunting. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, April 21, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home, Buford, GA, with Rev. Kenneth Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery, Buford, Ga. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m., on Sunday, April 21, 2024 at the Funeral Home.
