Voncile "Bonnie" Edge

Mrs. Voncile “Bonnie” Edge, 89, of Gainesville, passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2024 at her daughter’s residence following a period of declining health.

Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Friday, April 19, 2024 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Charles Grant will be officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home Thursday, April 18th from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Born on December 23, 1934 in Gainesville, she was the daughter of the late Marvin and Cora Mae Jones Hayes. She was retired from the Bell Minor Home where she was a CNA and she was a member of South Hall Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Edge was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Edge; son, Bobby Edge; sisters, Eunice Beasley, Jeanette Thompson, Joyce Evans, Nellie Conner; brothers, James Hayes, Royce Hayes and R.L. Hayes.

Mrs. Edge is survived by her daughters, Shirley Odom of Gainesville, Linda Sullens of Sautee, Kathy Edge of Auburn; son, Larry Edge of Commerce; brother, Russell Hayes of Murrayville; 9 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and a number of other loving relatives.
