Donald Leon Hunt

Mr. Donald Leon Hunt, 74, of Gainesville, passed away Monday, April 15, 2024 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center Gainesville Campus following a sudden illness.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 18, 2024 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Bobby Brown and Rev. Kyle Savage will officiate. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday, April 17 2024 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.

Born August 17, 1949 in Gainesville, he was the son of the late Merle Leon and Sarah Glass Hunt. He was a Veteran of the United States Army and a retired painter. Mr. Hunt was a member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church.

Mr. Hunt is survived by his son, Chris Hunt (Dawn); granddaughters, Sydney Hunt, Haley Hunt; grandsons, Ben Hunt, Cole Hunt all of Gainesville; sister, Shirley Santaniello of Flowery Branch; aunt Polly Freeman of Gainesville and other cousins and loving relatives.
