Angela Clayton Wescott, 72, of Gainesville, Georgia, passed away peacefully in her home on Monday, April 8, 2024, with her beloved husband Terry Fisher by her side.
Angela was born on March 18, 1952 in Trenton, NJ to Charles and Angela Clayton. She graduated from Hamilton (Steinert) High School-East in 1970 before attending Trenton State University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
Angela was a beautiful person inside and out and she cared deeply for the people around her. During her 45-year nursing career, she touched the lives of many with her kind spirit and gentle nature.
Throughout her life Angela pursued many different hobbies, from square-dancing and cooking to riding Harleys, traveling the world, or seeking out that perfect prize in a roadside antique mall. She was a lover of literature, classical music, and with no uncertainty, dogs.
Angela had immense passion for her family, her spirituality, and the natural world. She was a dedicated Christian and devoted attendee of Lakewood Baptist Church where she greatly enjoyed their Sunday School Classes and time spent with her many friends and fellow Christians, in whom she took great solace.
Angela is survived by her husband Terry, her brother Charles, her sister Dorothy, and her son Chris, as well as many extended family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, her mother and father, and her brother, Benjamin.
Angela’s departure has been gravely felt by her family and countless others in the community who loved her deeply. She will be forever missed.
