Dennis Allen Dean

Mr. Dennis Allen Dean, age 71 of Hickory Place, Lavonia passed away Sunday, April 7, 2024 at Anmed Medical Center, Anderson, South Carolina.

A son of the late Emory and Nellie Pless Dean, he was born April 7, 1953 in Toccoa, Georgia where he lived most of his life.  He was employed with Aeroquip for a number of years and was a member of Nails Creek Baptist Church.  He loved playing baseball and softball, loved Blue Grass music and loved playing music.  He was a jack of all trades and could work on anything. He was known as a calm, sympathetic and friendly person, loved a good joke.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother.   

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters and one brother.

Survivors include his wife of the home, Andrea Patterson Dean; sons and daughter-in-law, Shannon Dean of Toccoa, Jacob and Lyndsay Rae Dean of Oneida, Tennessee and Allen Dean of Woodstock, Georgia; daughter and son-in-law, Helena and C.J. Christopher of Villa Rica, Georgia; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn and Daniel Barnes of Eastanollee; brother and sister-in-law, Dan and Ann Dean of Ayersville, Georgia.

The family will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Sunday, April 14, 2024, 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. A memorial service will be held at a later date.  Online condolences may be left for the family at www.acree-davisfh.com.
