Michael James Smith

Mr. Michael James Smith, age 48 of Valley Drive, Toccoa passed away Thursday, April 4, 2024 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville.

Middle son of the late Harry and Amy Lee Smith, he was born in Seymour, Indiana, having lived in London, Kentucky before moving to Toccoa in the early 2000s.  He was employed with Walmart from 2005 to 2015, and then ASI Southeast for a number of years after.  He enjoyed playing the guitar, and working on his '67s.  He was preceded in death by his parents and older brother, John Smith.

Survivors include his wife of the home, Lee Wright Smith; two daughters of the home, Sadee Cooper Smith and Shelby Lee Smith; younger brother, Joseph Smith of Katy, Texas.

His wishes were to be cremated.  The family will have a private service at a later date.
