Myra Delores Henry, age 61, of Sautee, passed away on April 3, 2024, following a brief illness.
Myra was born on July 25, 1962, and will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She was a dedicated Walmart employee for 38 years and she poured her heart and soul into her work. Outside of her career, she found great joy in hunting for hidden treasures at thrift shops, tending to her beautiful garden, and cherishing moments with her dear friends.
She was a beacon of light to her family, friends and co-workers. Myra was known for her infectious laugh and unwavering positivity. She truly was an angel on Earth. Myra’s loyalty knew no bounds and she was always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. Her love for nature was so evident in her thriving garden and her cherished fur babies, Barney and Lucy.
Myra is survived by her sister, Patsy Brooks; brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Anita Simpson; as well as many beloved cousins, nieces, and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jean and Johnnie Simpson; sisters, Linda Cox and Susie Perry; husband, Keith Henry; partner, Kenneth Manley.
A memorial service to honor and celebrate Myra’s life will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, April 13, 2024, at The Chapel of Barrett Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, her family and friends kindly request that donations be made to sponsor an animal at White County Animal Control in memory of Myra.
Myra’s memory will forever live on in the hearts and minds of those who knew her, and her spirit will continue to watch over all who loved her.
