Carey Moon, Sr.

Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mr. Carey Moon, Sr. age 65 of Jefferson, Georgia who entered rest Wednesday, April 3, 2024.  Mr. Moon was born in Jefferson, Georgia the son of Dennis Moon of Jefferson and Shirley Martin Parham of Jefferson.  Mr. Moon is preceded by his wife, Dorothy Nell Chandler, grandmother, Ethelene Randolph, two sisters, Barbara Evans and Janet Sims.

Survivors in addition to his parents are a daughter, Karen Moon.  Son, Carey Moon, Jr..  Sisters, Gloria Davenport (Walter), Leslie Hopkins, Amy Moon.  Brother, Spencer Moon (Twynette).  All of Jefferson.  Three grandchildren, Tyrik Candelaria, Aubree Dean and Dallas Williams and special friend, Connie Cunningham also survive.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday, April 8, 2024 from the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with burial to follow in Evans Memory Gardens.  The family will receive friends 12:00 – 2:00 P.M. prior to the service at Evans Funeral Home.
