Cherly Lynn Sears

Mrs. Cheryl Lynn Sears, age 61, of Dacula passed away from Leukemia on Easter Sunday, March 31, 2024 at Emory University Hospital, surrounded by her family.

Memorial Services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 13, 2024 in the Chapel of Memorial Park South Funeral Home.  Pastor Blake Hammond will officiate.  The family will receive friends 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel Foyer.

Mrs. Sears was born July 2, 1962 to the late Wanda Faye (Cole) Pridemore in Cleveland, Ohio and raised by her grandmother Edith Crosby Cole and her Aunt Mary Cole in Winona, West Virginia.  A member of Free Chapel – Braselton, she graduated from Midland Trail High School in Hico, West Virginia in 1980 and West Virginia Institute of Technology in 1984.  A devoted Christian, wife, mother and “Gramcie”, she served in the Women’s Aglow ministry in Lawrenceville and at the Winder Baptist church.

Mrs. Sears is survived by her husband, Lonnie Sears of Dacula; son & daughter-in-law, Lee & Allison Sears of Jefferson; son, Caleb Sears of Dacula; daughter & son-in-law, Abigail & Joseph O’Donovan of Braselton; grandchildren, Lilly Sears, Lana Sears, Silas Sears, Naomi O’Donovan, Micah O’Donovan and Lydia Lynn O’Donovan; and brothers, Timothy Pridemore and Billy Pridemore of Sacramento, CA.
