Hazel Grace Evans

Mrs. Hazel Grace Evans, 86, of Gainesville, passed away Sunday, March 31, 2024 at her residence following a period of declining health.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 3, 2024 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Brandon Elliott will officiate. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home Tuesday, April 2, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Born on April 24, 1937 in Gainesville, she was the daughter of the late Claude and Ida Hulsey Truelove. A loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend, Mrs. Evans loved being a homemaker and cherished her family. She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Evans was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Evans, sisters, Hortense Nix, Claudine Truelove, Maudane Edge, Nancy Etris and brother, Earl Truelove.

Mrs. Evans is survived by her son, Charles Alvin Evans of Gainesville; daughter, Angela Evans Lock of Gainesville; sisters, Glenda Roberts of Gainesville, Evelyn Joanne Rohm of Pendergrass; brothers, Ray Truelove of Lula, Gerald Truelove of Lula; grandchildren, Bobby Lock, Jr., Steven Lock, Andrew and Karen Talley Lock; great grandson, Alexander Lock and a number of other loving relatives.
