Martha J. Mize Walters

Martha J. Mize Walters, age 93, of Flowery Branch, GA passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2024. She was preceded in death by husband, Scott Walters; first husband, Horace Jimmie Bowling; father, Jesse Mize; mother, Mattie B. Mize; son, Mike Bowling; brother, Jesse William Mize.  Mrs. Walters is survived by children, Mark and Julie Bowling of Flowery Branch, and Douglas Eugene and Sandi Bowling of Loganville, GA; five grandchildren, Daniel Bowling, Bo Bowling, Brynn Thomas, Jeremy Morgan, and Jenni Morgan; four great grandchildren; sisters, Pat Glass, Mary Lucus, and Jonnette Spikes all of The Villages, FL; brother, Larry Mize of Lawrenceville, GA; and nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mrs. Walters was born on June 22, 1930 in Clarkston, GA, and was a 1948 graduate of Clarkston High School. She was a retired secretary from Woodall Architects in Atlanta, and she also had worked for International Chemicals Workers Union. Mrs. Walters was a member of Clarkston United Methodist Church. She enjoyed shopping, cooking, gardening, spending time with people, camping, and traveling. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, April 5, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. in the

Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home. Graveside Service and Interment will be at 3:00 p.m. at Bethel Community Cemetery, 1116-1138 Born St, Stone Mountain, GA 30088. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, April 5 from 11:00 a.m. until time for the service at 1:00 pm
