Mary Fuller Jones

Mrs. Mary Fuller Jones, age 92, of Blairsville passed away peacefully on March 11, 2024 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville following a sudden illness. Mrs. Jones was born December 6, 1931 in Fulton County to the late Flora May Batchelder Fuller and Columbus Gary Fuller.

Mrs. Jones attended the Blairsville Seventh-day Adventist Church for many years and cared for the young children every week at the Coosa Methodist Church. She was an avid birdwatcher and amateur botanist. Mrs. Jones also loved gardening and still grew vegetables well into her 80s.

Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Jones, sister, Sarahann Ellis and brother, Buddy Fuller. She is survived by her sister, Florence Eberhart, brother, David Fuller, daughter, Phyllis Bowen, and granddaughter, Meredith Drury, along with several nieces, nephews, and their families.

A memorial service will be held at the Blairsville Seventh-day Adventist Church on March 30 at 2:00pm. She will be laid to rest in Duncan Cemetery in Blairsville.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Mountain Shelter Humane Society in Mrs. Jones’ memory.
