Phillip Jackson Bagwell

Phillip Jackson Bagwell, age 69, of Buford, GA was called home to be with the Lord on Saturday, the 23^rd day of March.  He passed in his residence surrounded by his wife and children.  Mr. Bagwell was born on December 19^th, 1954 in Buford to the late John E. Bagwell and Rose Lou Bagwell.  He lived in Buford most of his life where he worked as a carpenter.  Mr. Bagwell enjoyed fixing things, spending time with his family, and gardening.  He was a 1972 graduate of Buford High School. He is survived by his wife of forty-five years, Holly Wiley Bagwell of Buford; his children, Diana Roach Blihovde of Cleveland, Hilary Bagwell Sizemore (Chase) of Sylvester, and Joshua Bagwell of Buford; his grandchildren, Steven Black, Savannah Blihovde,  Brianna Blihovde, Paisley Sizemore, Ryder Sizemore, and Ethan Sizemore.

Mr. Bagwell was the youngest of seven children.  He is preceded in death by his parents and sister Mary Kennedy of Cumming.  He is survived by his brothers, Blake Bagwell (Bonnie) of Buford, Kenneth Bagwell (Jean) of Buford and Trent Bagwell (Gail) of Buford; his sisters, Miriam Puckett of Buford and Phyllis Stamps of Hartwell; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins whom he loved very much.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 30, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Pastor Stephanie Oden and Rev. Billy Bishop officiating. Inurnment will be at the New Prospect United Methodist Church Cemetery, Buford, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, March 30, 2024, from 12:00 noon until the funeral hour.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to New Prospect United Methodist Church Cemetery Association (P.O. Box 11, Buford, GA 30515) in memory of Phillip Bagwell.
