Stephen H. Mitchell

Stephen H. Mitchell, age 77, of Hoschton, GA passed away on Friday, March 15, 2024. He was preceded in death by parents, Roy and Beth Mitchell; sister, Joan Mitchell; sisters-in-law Patricia Bashaw and Barbara Woodward. Mr. Mitchell is survived by his wife of fifty-six years, Kathleen Mitchell; son, Jeffrey (Stacy) Mitchell of Baltimore, MD; daughter, Kristin Mitchell of Duluth, GA; five grandchildren, Taylor, Morgan, Grant, Connor, and Jackson; sisters-in-law, Mary Weiss, Christie (Joe) Shunk, Joanie (Bill) Makielski; Chrissis (Jim) Teske; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mr. Mitchell was born on March 21, 1946 in Elkhart, IN. He was a 1964 graduate of South Bend Central High School, and a 1968 graduate of Western Michigan University with a Bachelor’s Degree. Mr. Mitchell was an entrepreneur and owned several businesses, including a sports bar. He was an avid golfer, and enjoyed playing cards, spending time with his family and his grandkids, and attending their sporting events. 

A Memorial Service will be held on April 1, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Dr. Bill Coates officiating.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. on April 1, 2024.
