Jose Navarro Magana

Mr. Jose Navarro Magana, 82, of Gainesville, passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at his residence.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 27, 2024 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Father Roberto Herrera will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Born on April 3, 1941 in Michoacán, Mexico, he was the son of the late Glafira Magana and the late Refugio Navarro. He worked for Wrigley’s in Santa Cruz, CA from the 1980’s until 1997 and transferred to Gainesville to continue work with Wrigley’s.  

He enjoyed the outdoors, swimming, spending time with his family. He always had a smile.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Navarro was preceded in death by his brothers, Javier Navarro Magana, Jesus Navarro Magana and sister, Martha Navarro Magana.

Mr. Navarro is survived by his sons, Lorenzo Navarro of San Francisco, CA son, Jesus Navarro of Gainesville; daughters, Martha Redmond of Gainesville, Adriana Collins of Gainesville; step daughter, Aurora Whittington; wife, Lourdes Navarro of Gainesville; grandchildren, Isaiah Navarro of San Francisco, CA, Valerie Redmond, Nolan Redmond, Stella Navarro, Lucy Navarro. Isaac Carney, Bryson Carney all of Gainesville, Andrea Garcia, Audra Hamilton, Charlie Whittington all of Warner Robbins, GA; brothers, Refugio Navarro, Raul Navarro; sisters,  Lupe Navarro Magana, Rosa Maria Navarro Magana, Glafira Navarro Magana, Ester Navarro Magana and a number of nieces, nephews and other loving relatives.

El Sr. José Navarro Magaña, de 82 años, de Gainesville, falleció el Martes 26 de Marzo de 2024 en su residencia.

Los funerales se llevarán a cabo a las 2:00 p.m. Miércoles 27 de Marzo de 2024 en la Capilla de la Funeraria Memorial Park. Oficiará el padre Roberto Herrera. La familia recibirá a los amigos en el tanatorio el Miércoles a partir de las 12:00 p.m. hasta las 2:00 p.m.

Nacido el 3 de Abril de 1941 en Michoacán, México, era hijo de la fallecida Glafira Magaña y del fallecido Refugio Navarro. Trabajó para Wrigley's en Santa Cruz, CA desde la década de 1980 hasta 1997 y se trasladó a Gainesville para continuar trabajando con Wrigley's.

Disfrutaba del aire libre, nadando y pasando tiempo con su familia. Siempre tenía una sonrisa.

Además de sus padres, al Sr. Navarro le precedieron en la muerte sus hermanos, Javier Navarro Magaña, Jesús Navarro Magaña y su hermana, Martha Navarro Magaña.

Al Sr. Navarro le sobreviven sus hijos, Lorenzo Navarro de San Francisco, CA hijo, Jesús Navarro de Gainesville; hijas, Martha Redmond de Gainesville, Adriana Collins de Gainesville; hijastra, Aurora Whittington; esposa, Lourdes Navarro de Gainesville; nietos, Isaiah Navarro de San Francisco, CA, Valerie Redmond, Nolan Redmond, Stella Navarro, Lucy Navarro. Isaac Carney, Bryson Carney, todos de Gainesville, Andrea García, Audra Hamilton, Charlie Whittington, todos de Warner Robbins, GA; hermanos, Refugio Navarro, Raúl Navarro; hermanas, Lupe Navarro Magaña, Rosa María Navarro Magaña, Glafira Navarro Magaña, Ester Navarro Magaña y varias sobrinas, sobrinos y otros parientes amorosos.
