Robert L. "Red" Usher

Robert L. "Red" Usher, 92, of Clermont, Ga., died on Saturday, March 23, 2024.  The Funeral Service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at Concord Baptist Church, Clermont, Ga.  Interment will follow the service in the church cemetery.  Pastor Brandon Roney, Pastor James Forrester, and Pastor Clint Ivy will officiate the service.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, March 25, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Red was a member of Concord Baptist Church where he was a Sunday School Teacher and a Deacon, he was a veteran of the Korean War and a builder of custom houses.

Red was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Henrietta Usher; and his brothers, Pete and Howard Usher.

He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Sally Usher; his children, Jenny Grindle (Deral), Mary Ann Blitch, Jimmy Usher (Stephanie); his grandchildren Erin Grindle (Andrew McDavid), Mark Usher (Diana Young), Russ Grindle (Tara), Amanda Holden (Kevin), Ansley Parker (Nathan), Daniel Blitch (Becca), Sadie Usher and 11 great-grandchildren.  Red is survived by his brothers Charles Usher (Gay) and Bill Usher (Debra).
