Andy Jeff Tankersley, Jr

Reverend Andy Jeff Tankersley, Jr., age 71, of Cleveland, Georgia, passed away Thursday, March 21, 2024 after a battle with an extended illness.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Friday, March 22, 2024 at Memorial Park Riverside Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 3:30 pm Saturday, March 23, 2024 at Memorial Park Riverside Chapel with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The Reverend Dwayne Welborn will officiate.

Reverend Tankersley was born January 22, 1953 in Gainesville, Georgia. He was the son of the late Andy J. Tankersley, Sr. and Betty Jean (Janes) Freeman.

Reverend Andy Jeff Tankersley, Jr. served as a minister with the Assemblies of God for 37 years. He also served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Andrea (Crisp) Tankersley of Cleveland; son, Steven Tankersley of Cleveland, Georgia; son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Charity Tankersley of Bentonville, Arkansas; seven grandchildren, Olivia, Caleb, Anna, Ella, Levi, Emma and Jacob; four siblings, Dan and Martha of Woodstock, Georgia; Donna Vickers of Blairsville, Georgia, Sheree Ralston of Blue Ridge, Georgia; Kim McVey and Brannon of Ellijay, Georgia and many nieces and nephews.
