Jeanne Dolhonde Reineke, 71, of Clayton, Georgia, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend to all, passed away peacefully on March 18, 2024, surrounded by those who loved her most. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, grace, and tenacity that will forever be cherished by those who knew her. Born in New Orleans, Louisiana on February 16, 1953, to Charles Richard Dolhonde, Jr. and Arline Ann Ginn, Jeanne lived a life marked by unwavering devotion to her family and those around her. As a mother, she was a source of love and support, always willing to put the needs of others before her own. Her spirit and gentle guidance helped shape the lives of her family members, instilling in them values of compassion and resilience. Jeanne embraced the role of grandmother with boundless enthusiasm, and it brought her immeasurable joy. She delighted in spending time with her grandchildren, showering them with affection and wisdom. She marveled at the wonder of new life and reveled in the opportunity to impart her love and wisdom to the youngest members of her family. Jeanne was always filled with laughter and warmth, creating cherished memories that will be treasured for generations to come. Beyond her family, Jeanne was known for her generosity of spirit and her willingness to lend a helping hand to those in need. Her compassion knew no bounds, and her acts of kindness touched the lives of many. Her love of cooking and sharing of a meal were enjoyed by many. Jeanne will be deeply missed by her children, grandchildren, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Though she may no longer be with us in body, her spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved her. Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Harry W. Reineke III. She is survived by her children Aaron S. Hart (Alexis), Autumn V. Hart (Jay Lambert), Eric T. Reineke (Lauren), and Harry W. Reineke IV (Natalie), as well as 9 grandchildren: Brooklyn R. and Devon S. Hart, Madison A. Valdez (Pablo), Evan R. Lambert, Taylor N., Maebress C., Lydia J., Ruthann N., and Harry W., V Reineke, and one great granddaughter due in April. Additionally, she leaves behind three sisters, two brothers, and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at a later date.
