Ruby Inez Armour, 90, of Gainesville, GA passed into the arms of Jesus on March 16, 2024. She was of the Baptist faith.
Born November 20, 1933, Ruby was the daughter of the late Harvy and Neva Inez Hatcher Sullens.
Known by those who love her as Mama, Nanny, Sis and Rube, Ruby was born, raised, and lived on Sullens Road her entire life surrounded by family until the time of her passing. She worked many years at Gress Foods and retired from Orbit in Cleveland. An avid sewer, she cherished memories of making Cabbage Patch doll clothes for Xavier Roberts, Halloween costumes and clothing for her children and grandchildren. Ruby was a fantastic homemaker who cared for and loved all who knew her. She loved baking teacakes, birthday cakes and making sure no one went hungry. She would spend holiday nights in the kitchen preparing feasts fit for a king. She even enjoyed all night Black Friday shopping ensuring everyone had a little something come Christmas morning. She loved animals and rehabilitated many including raccoons, deer, birds and whatever her children and grandchildren dropped by to her. Her love for her family was unmatched. No matter the circumstances, her love was unconditional.
Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, husband Charles David Armour, son Charles Anderson “Andy” Armour, grandson Timothy Quest Loggins, brothers Bud Sullens, Doc Sullens and Bob Sullens, and sister Leona Smith.
She is survived by her son Royce Gee, daughters Carol Roberts (Will Blackmon), Stacey Fuller (Donnie Rogers) and Tim Loggins, grandchildren Jennifer Phillips, Brent and Stephanie Loggins, Kyle Loggins, Trey and Christina Fuller, Bridget Armour (Dillon Oliver), Bronson Armour (Patricia Sherman), and Trandy and David Teal, Sister Gladis Dover, Sister-in-law Maxine Sullens, (20) great-grandchildren and (5) great great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and loved ones she cherished dearly.
She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future. Proverbs 31:25
