Linda Sue Cribbs Mincks

Linda Sue Cribbs Mincks, age 69, of Alto, Georgia went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at her residence following an extended illness.

Mrs. Mincks was born on June 14, 1954 in Jacksonville, Florida to the late Joseph Washington Cribbs and Ina Wilkinson Cribbs. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, J.W. Cribbs, Corney Cribbs, J.D. Cribbs, Wayne Cribbs; sisters, Vertus Shoemate, Joyce Poling.

Linda was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, and beloved sister whose life was defined by love, compassion, and cherished memories. She had an enjoyment for crocheting and needlework and one of her most favorite pastimes was going shopping. Among her most cherished experiences was the opportunity to travel alongside her loving husband, exploring the vastness of the western United States and covering over 7000 miles in a single trip. These adventures allowed her to marvel at the beauty of the world and God's creation, which created lasting memories with her soulmate.

Above all else, Linda Sue treasured her family. She was affectionately known as "Mimi" by her grandchildren, a title that symbolized the warmth, love, and nurturing spirit she embodied. Time spent with her husband, children, grandchildren, and beloved pets brought her the greatest happiness, and she cherished every moment shared with them.

Survivors include her loving husband of 43 years, Dennis Mincks, of Alto; sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth and Joni Maynard, of Red Hill; Jason and Kimberly Maynard, of Baldwin; Shane and Christy Maynard, of Commerce; sons, Scott Mincks, of Alto; Chris Johnson, of Alto sisters, Myrtle Creamer, of Baldwin; twenty three grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren.

Memorial Services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Monday, March 18, 2024 at the Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m., Monday, March 18, 2024 at the funeral home prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 6704, Hagerstown, MD 21741 or to Hospice of Northeast Georgia, 2150 Limestone Pkwy, Gainesville, GA 30501.
