Wallace F. “Wally” Dreger, 88, of Dawsonville passed away Sunday, March 10, 2024.
Born December 29, 1935 in Miltona Township, Minnesota to the late Fred and Elsie Dreger, he had lived in Dawson County over 30 years having moved from Poplar Grove, Illinois. Mr. Dreger owned and operated Dawson Screw Products and served as maintenance director at Bethel Methodist Church. He enjoyed fishing, boating, and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Wally was also preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Anderson Dreger; siblings, Beverly Soderquist, Edward Dreger, Marcene Diekow, Marilyn Bogard; and grandsons, Travis Dreger and Justin Reser.
Surviving are his children, Douglas and Deborah Dreger, Rockford, IL, Jeffrey and Yvonne Dreger, Poplar Grove, IL, Tamara and Allan Siegel, Dawsonville, GA; grandchildren, Brian and Marissa Dreger, Cameron Dreger, Joshua and Katrina Reser, Adam and Katie Dreger, Megan and Jeremy Manchester, Erin Dreger; great grandchildren, Hannah Reser, Trey Reser, Violet Richmond, Ruby Nelson, Densley Manchester, Finnick Manchester, Gavin Manchester, Easton Dreger, Weston Dreger; brother in law, Harold Bogard, California; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 14, 2024 at 2 o’clock at Bethel Methodist Church. Dr. David Sanders and Rev. Eddie Herring will officiate.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 1 until 2 at the church.
Mr. Dreger will be taken to Machesney Park, IL for interment in the Sunset Memorial Gardens on Monday, March 18, 2024 at 2 o’clock.
