Ruth Davidson Sparks

Mrs. Ruth Davidson Sparks, age 94 of Commerce, died Saturday, March 9, 2024 at Brookside Assisted Living.  She was born in Carnesville, GA to the late, James Henry and Edna Corthran Davison.  Mrs. Sparks was a member of Middle River Baptist Church and was a retired textile employee.  In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband; Herman Verner Sparks, step-son; Charles Sparks, sisters; Louise Ashworth, Thelma Fleischer, Lorene Davison, and Jimmie Lou Sharp; brothers, James Doyle Davison, Ellis Davison, Lamar Davison, Dillard Davison, and Olin Davison.

Mrs. Sparks is survived by her step-daughter; Charlotte McCloskey of Woodstock, sister; Pauline Farr (Jake) of North Augusta, SC, 4 step-grandchildren, 7 step-great grandchildren, 2 step-great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held, Monday, March 11, 2024 at 2 PM at Middle River Baptist Church with Rev. Phillip Garrett officiating.  Internment will follow in Bold Springs Methodist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Monday from 1PM-2PM at Middle River Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, donation can be made to Middle River Baptist Church.
