Juanita "Nita" Harrison Minor

Obituary Date: Thursday, March 7, 2024

Juanita “Nita” Harrison Minor, age 70, of Lula passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2024, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center-Gainesville.

Born on August 3, 1953, in Sylva, North Carolina, Nita was the daughter of the late Harry Steven Harrison and Frances “Nell” Lenoir Harrison. The family moved to Murrayville, Georgia when Nita was a young child. She was a graduate of North Hall High School. In adulthood, she moved to Lula, Georgia where she raised her children.

Nita worked for the Hall County Board of Education for many years as a school bus driver and retired as the parts clerk for the school system. She was an active member of First Baptist Church Lula and longed for the day she would see her Savior. Nita devoted her life to her family, friends, and those in need. She and her husband loved traveling with their friends and shared many adventures together. Nita loved being outside in the sun working in her flower beds and playing on the playground with her grandchildren, who lovingly called her “Nini.” More than anything, Nita loved Jesus, and we are so grateful for the assurance of her salvation and that she is home with our Lord.

Nita is survived by her husband of 19 years, Phillip Henry Minor; son and daughter-in-law, Trevor and Holly Cain; daughter and son-in-law, Trisha and Dusty Hulsey; daughter, Tressa Kadkhodaian; brother and sister-in-law, Ronnie and Joan Harrison; grandchildren, Mason and Tucker Cain, Colton and Cason Hulsey, Zander, Zoey, and Zavier Kadkhodaian; step-son, the late Matthew Minor; step-son and daughter-in-law, Nathan and Sara Minor and their children Kristen, Matthew, Anna Jane, and Nicholas Minor.

Funeral services will be held Sunday March 10, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home. Rev. Randy Johnson and Rev. Bucky Kennedy will officiate.  Interment will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday March 9 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and again Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until the funeral hour.
