Mary Ernestine (Holcomb) Dale, age 89, of Gainesville, Georgia, passed away Thursday, March 07, 2024.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Friday, March 8, 2024 at Memorial Park Riverside Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 3:30 pm Saturday, March 9, 2024 at Memorial Park Riverside Chapel with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Ernestine was born May 17, 1934 to the late Claud William Holcomb and Monteen Martin Holcomb.

She attended Riverbend School where she met the love of her life Jimmy (Jim) Dale.  They married December 22, 1951 with their friends James and Ruby Brookshire. She was preceded in death by her husband Jim, great-granddaughter Makayla Ruth McIntyre, siblings, Johnny & Janice Holcomb, Cecil & Joyce Holcomb, Walter & Jackie Holcomb, and Paul & Irene Martin..

Jim and Ernestine were blessed with 4 children, 3 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.

Children: Roy & Jackie Brooks, Mike & Dawn Dale, Eddie Dale, and Marvin & Melissa Dale. Grandchildren: Steven and Leslie McIntyre, Andrew & Casey Brooks, and Sandra Dale. Great-grandchildren: Chastin Brooks, Lexi Brooks, Raelynn Brooks, Addy Kindle, Brycen Kindle and Makayla McIntyre.

The family would like to thank the nurses that took care of mama at NEGMC of Gainesville and Pruitt Health.

The family is at peace knowing that she is now resting in the arms of Jesus.
