Marion Durrette Allen

Mrs. Marion Durrette Allen, age 75 of Gainesville, passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 8, 2024 with interment following at Memorial Park South Cemetery. Rev. Steve Stewart will officiate. The family will receive friends from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 8, 2024.

Mrs. Allen was born April 4, 1948 to the late Billy Briggs and Marion Duren Cease in Atlanta, Georgia. She attended First Baptist Church of Lilburn and was retired from Dwight Harrison Volkswagon, where she worked in Accounting.

She is survived by her daughter, Lynne (Randy) Oliver; brothers, Terry Sandstrom & Jim Cease; sisters, Patricia Mason, Gail Merliss, & Elizabeth Jones; grandchildren, Randy Oliver, Calvin Oliver, Ryan (Amy) Oliver, & Cory Oliver; great-grandchildren, Ava Oliver, Braden Oliver, Lochlan Oliver, Josie Oliver, & Myles Oliver; and several nieces & nephews. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joel Allen; and sister, Loren Pace.
