Willie Charlie McIntosh Jr. was born in Hart County on June 5, 1943, and departed this life on February 27, 2024. He was born to William C. and Dorphena McIntosh. He attended Fair St. Elementary and E.E. Butler High School. Sergeant McIntosh and Squad Leader joined the military in 1968-1970 in the branch of the U.S Army and fought in the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged with a Purple Heart. He is also a member of the American Legion Post 321 in Gainesville, GA. Pete was employed and retired from Macklanburg- Duncan Company and Aim Transportation Solutions as a long-distance truck driver. Breaker, Breaker 1-9, Koolaid was his CB handle. Child of God was saved at an early age at New Salem Baptist Church in Jefferson, GA. His church was in his heart through Gospel quartet music. His favorite was the Pilgrim Jubilee`s. His ministry was lead singer and lead guitarist of a quartet group named “Harmonizing Six.” Music Man was a well-known DJ/ Recorder, and enjoyed cooking, fishing, and entertaining. Junior's smile, charm, humor, wit, and friendship will be greatly missed. He was married to the late Barbara Ann McIntosh, and leaves to cherish his memories Daughters: Loretta Mathis, Lisa Niles, and Sonya McIntosh. Siblings: Lillian Denson (Walter), Sandra Bullock (Pete), Evett, Francine McIntosh, David McIntosh (Margaret), Lonnie McIntosh, Clyde Turner, and Stacy McIntosh (Yvonne). Aunts: Imojean Strange and Margie Turner. Grandchildren: Lakendra McIntosh, Lauren Niles, Mathis, Thomas Niles, and Jordan McCann.Along with 6 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. A Special Loved One, Julia R. Etheridge. He was preceded in death by William C. McIntosh, Dorphena McIntosh, Charlie McIntosh III, Harry McIntosh, and Celeste Irene Turner.
Funeral service will be held on Monday, March 4, 2024 at First Baptist Church at 1:00 PM. Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 3, 2024 at Hillside Chapel between the hours of 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM.
