Craig Jon Puntervold

Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mr. Craig Jon Puntervold, age 60, of Talmo, Georgia, who passed away on Monday, February 26, 2024. Mr. Puntervold was born in Dade County, Florida, a son to the late Arthur Thorfin Puntervold and the late Valerie Teare Amott Puntervold. Mr. Puntervold was a Corporate Maintenance Supervisor with Gold Creek Foods in Gainesville and a member of the Pond Fork Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, Mr. Puntervold was preceded in death by his brother, Roger Puntervold.

You were the very best Dad and Pop. You did everything you could to make our life better and easier. He always had our backs and showed up to everything important. We know we will see him again one day, but until then, he will be forever loved and missed! – your daughters.

Survivors include his wife, Gwen Martin Puntervold of Talmo; daughters, Ashley Kubiak of Talmo and Dawn Puntervold Martin and her husband Chris of Maysville; grandchildren, Glayde Kubiak, Callan Kubiak and Christine Martin; sister, Robin Nix of Athens; brothers, William Puntervold and his wife Mary, Dale Puntervold and his wife Brenda and he was loved as well by many Nieces and Nephews.

The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, February 29, 2024, at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Reverend Johnny Knight officiating.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 29, 2024, from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Evans Funeral Home, prior to the service.

A private burial will take place later, attended by the family.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial gifts be made to the Puntervolt family, to help offset funeral costs, at P.O. Box 234, Jefferson, GA 30549.
