Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mrs. Terry Ann Nieder, age 72, of Jefferson, Georgia, who passed away on Saturday, February 24, 2024. Mrs. Nieder was born in Akron, Ohio, a daughter to the late James Willard Cox and the late Arlene Meixel Cox. Mrs. Nieder was a member of Hope Crossings Church in Jefferson. Mrs. Nieder embraced life a United States Navy service wife. Previously, she worked at McCullough-Hyde Memorial Hospital in Oxford, Ohio where she was an Administrator, and for a brief period later in life, was the area coordinator for K-9 Companions for Independence. In her youth she was an amateur tennis player. Terry was best known as an avid dog lover who enjoyed raising and showing dogs as CEO of Teran’s Kennels. Mrs. Nieder was a golf enthusiast and most of all, loved being a mom and grandmother of 6 beautiful girls. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Nieder was preceded in death by her sister, Linda Burton and her brother, Michael Cox.
Survivors include her husband, Jeff Nieder of Jefferson, GA; son, Dr. Todd Nieder and his wife Kimberly Nieder of Dayton, VA; daughter, Tara Brindle and her husband Dr. Tod Brindle of Cumming, GA; and her grandchildren, Ellie Nieder, Chloe Nieder, Josie Nieder, Payton Brindle, Selah Brindle and Ashlynn Brindle also survive.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at 2:00 PM in the Hope Crossings Church with Pastor Chris Stephens officiating. A reception will follow immediately in the Church fellowship hall.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial gifts be made to a charity of one’s choice in her honor.
