Mr. Howard “Dundee” Andrews, Jr., age 61 of Toccoa passed away Saturday, February 24, 2024 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center Gainesville.
A son of the late William Howard Andrews, Sr. and Betty Jo Agnew Andrews, he was born June 7, 1962 in Hart County, Georgia where he lived for many years before moving to Toccoa in 2000. He owned and operated Howard Andrews Construction. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church where he worked with the Van Ministry of the church. He was a man of strong faith, loved traveling and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife of the home, Tammy Taylor Andrews; son, Will Andrews of Hartwell, Georgia; daughters and sons-in-law, Keri (Curtis) Shirley of Hartwell, Georgia, Britney (Adam) Baldwin of Toccoa and Briana (Scooter) Beatty of Toccoa; grandchildren, Payton Shirley, Alivia Shirley, Addison Baldwin, Maddie Grace Turner, Hank Baldwin, Taylor Beatty and Sawyer Beatty; brother, Meeker Andrews of Hartwell, Georgia; sisters and brother-in-law, Glenda Isom and Elaine (Tony) Byrum both of Hartwell, Georgia; sisters-in-law, Juanita (Aaron) Bolman, Kay McGinn and Jan (Keith) Crawford; a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, February 27, 2024, 3 o’clock p.m. at New Hope Baptist Church with The Reverend David Sosebee and The Reverend Jerrell Beatty officiating. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers and should meet at the funeral home by 2:00 p.m., Will Andrews, Paul Mitchell, Josh Shirley, Rocky Farrow, Keith Crawford, Aaron Bolman and John Hallford. Honorary pallbearers will be J.J. Hicks, Dusty Robinson, Hank Knight, Jason Evans, Ricky Chatham and Steve Milford and should meet at the church by 2:30 p.m.
The family will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Monday, 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.acree-davisfh.com.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to New Hope Baptist Church, Expansion Fund, 6731 Mize Road, Toccoa, Georgia 30577 in memory of Mr. Howard “Dundee” Andrews.
Interment will follow in the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory in charge of the arrangements for Mr. Howard “Dundee” Andrews.
