Richard Lester Kessler, Jr., age 58, of Cornelia, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2024.
Mr. Kessler was born on August 8, 1965 in West Virginia to Richard Kessler, Sr. and Barbara Fox Kessler.
He was a proud United States Army Veteran, serving his country with honor and courage. Beyond his military service, Richard dedicated himself to the betterment of his community, especially through his involvement with the Tamarac Little League in Tamarack, Florida, where he served as President for an impressive 15 years. In addition to his contributions to sports, Richard found joy in the game of poker, where his skill and strategic prowess afforded him the opportunity to play professionally. Above all else, Richard treasured his roles as a son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. His unwavering love and devotion to his family knew no bounds, and he took immense pride in being a provider and a pillar of support for those he held dear.
In addition to his parents, survivors include his loving wife of 23 years, Linda Kessler, of Cornelia; sons and daughters-in-law, Derek and Heather Kessler, of Ball Ground; Jeffrey and Erin Kessler, of West Palm Beach, FL; son, James Kessler, of Ball Ground; daughter, Lauren Beckman, of Baltimore; Toni Beckman, of Baltimore; son, Zachary Beckman, of Baltimore; Christian Beckman, of Pennsylvania; twins, Sierra and Shane Beckman, of Pennsylvania; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ray and Sue Minnick, of Pennsylvania; brother, Steve Kessler; niece, Samantha Kessler; nephews, Steven Kessler and Mason Kessler; numerous grandchildren.
A Private Family Service will be held.
