Claude Perry Smith

Claude Perry Smith, 86, of Cleveland, died peacefully on Tuesday February 13, 2024.

Claude was born to Minnie and Claude Smith on January 2, 1938. Claude was a veteran and served our country as a Marine. Claude dedicated most of his adult life as a Teacher, Dean of Students and Vice President at Truett McConnell College. He loved his students. Claude loved to play golf and was passionate about his family. To all who knew him, Claude was a gentle and stoic man, social and loving. He was a faithful member of Mountain Shadows Chapel and enjoyed living in his community of friends in Mountain Lakes.

Immediate surviving family members are Norma Smith (wife), Perry Smith and wife Cindy, Ammie Vincent and husband Shannon Vincent, and Joseph Smith and wife Taylor. Claude had 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
