Mrs. Marie Dukes Kirk was born in Gainesville, GA to the late Harold and Alberta Dukes. She was a graduate of E.E. Butler High School. Ms. Kirk loved to teach, listen to music and dance. She just loved to have a good time. She is preceded in death by her parents Mr. Harold and Alberta Dukes, her siblings: Jennie L. Shirley, Larry Dukes, Harry Dukes, Harold Dukes Jr., and Bobby L. Dukes.
She is survived by her son: Antwan Hailey, sisters: Gussie Dukes and Lillie Summerour, grandchildren: Antwan Hailey Jr., Jerrinna Traylor, Kaiden Hailey, Alivia Striggers and Karen Hailey, three great grandchildren, sister-in-law: Betty Dukes, goddaughter: Anquanetta Blair, niece affectionately known as her daughter Harriet Upshaw and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 18, 2024 at Hillside Chapel at 2:00 PM. Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at Hillside Chapel between the hours of 6:00 PM- 8:00 PM. Professional Services Entrusted to Wimberly Funeral Home.
