Mrs. Virginia Shedd Williams, age 97 of Sweetwater Drive, Clarkesville, Georgia passed away Wednesday, February 14, 2024 at her residence.
A daughter of the late Emory and Lina Mae Watts Shedd, she was born December 6, 1926 in Rabun County, Georgia having lived the greater part of her life in Cobb County, Georgia. She was a homemaker and a member of Bethel Chapel Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Langley Williams and by three children, Lucy Smith, Judy Queen Rome and Thomas Queen.
Survivors include three sons, Morris Smith of Douglasville, Georgia, James Smith of Clarkesville, Georgia and Alvin Queen of Cartersville, Georgia; 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 30 great-great grandchildren.
Her wishes were to be cremated. Inurnment will be in the Queen Family Cemetery, Mableton, Georgia at a later date.
Acree-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Virginia Shedd Williams.
