Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Ms. Betty Carol Pruitt, age 72, of Hoschton, who passed away on Monday, February 12, 2024. Ms. Pruitt was born in Gainesville, Georgia, a daughter to the late Marion T. Reynolds and the late Robbie Blondell Brewer Reynolds. Ms. Pruitt was a member of the White Plains Baptist Church in Jefferson, Georgia. Ms. Pruitt was the former owner and operator of the Small World Day Care Center and the Railroad Rental Properties Management, both in Jefferson. In addition to her parents, Ms. Pruitt was preceded in death by her daughter, Betty Jean Pruitt, sisters, Helen Reynolds, Bonnie Jones, Doris Lee and her brothers, Steve Reynolds and David Reynolds.
Survivors include her children, Stefanie Pruitt McDaniel of Jefferson, Greg Pruitt of Nicholson and their father, Billy Pruitt of Jefferson; sisters, Nan Pruitt of Jefferson, Katherine Camp of Auburn; brother, Eugene Reynolds and his wife Ann of Winder; grandchildren, Kayli McDaniel, Aberlin Pruitt, Caden McDaniel, Kinsey McDaniel; son in law, Chad McDaniel of Athens and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends also survive.
The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 16, 2024 at 2:00 PM in the White Plains Baptist Church with Reverend Kevin Page and Pastor Jon Ford officiating. The burial will follow in the White Plains Baptist Church Cemetery with Caden McDaniel, Mike Pruitt, Luke Pruitt, Chase Gilbert, Cameron Gilbert, Corbin Rhodes, Chad McDaniel and Kolton Pruitt honored as pallbearers.
The visitation will be held on Thursday, February 15, 2024 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Evans Funeral Home.
