Debra Marie Bridges

Ms. Debra Marie Bridges, age 65, of Commerce, GA died Thursday, February 8, 2024 at Heritage of Athens.  Ms. Bridges was born in Athens to the late James and Marie Self Thomas.  She was employed as a teacher with Easter Seals Head Start.  In addition to her parents, Ms. Bridges was preceded in death by her sister, Brenda Archer and brother, Dennis Thomas.

Ms. Bridges is survived by her son, Ryan Bridges (Brittany) of Commerce; step-son, Hank Bridges of Greensboro; sister, Jackie Thomas of Maysville; brothers, Randall Thomas of Maysville, Eddie Thomas (Phebe) of Athens, Charles Thomas of Commerce and Randy Thomas (Theresa) of Nicholson; long-time friend, Javier Sanchez; grandchild, Ryder Bridges; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 12 PM, Monday, February 12 at the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with Rev. Greg Hansard officiating.  Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 11AM to 12 PM.
