Donna Alene Tucker

Donna Alene Tucker, 79 went home to be with her Lord & Savior Jesus Christ Sunday, December 17, 2023 in Cumming, GA. Born in Canastota, NY on November 10, 1944, she was the daughter of both the late Louis Wright and Elizabeth Wright.

Donna was a Writer, Songwriter, Inspirational Vocalist, a Strong Christian Leader and Mentor, as well as a Women's Christian Keynote Speaker over the years while serving from local churches such as Calvary Temple, Oneida, NY and Believers Chapel, Canastota, NY. Singing professionally from the age of 6, she then used that talent to bless and minister by serving in her local churches in music, drama classes, art and sewing while traveling to speak at events. Donna also ministered in Concert thru Faith Community Worship Center in Saint Petersburg, FL and loved being a Drama Teacher at New Life Christian School of Randallsville, NY. While serving at Believers Chapel, Canastota, NY she enjoyed Directing and performing in Christmas musical, "The Untold Story” and recording a single ‘Oh, To Be Loved Like That’. Donna’s daughter helped produce the song in studio and on CD. She loved spending time with family where both she and her husband moved to Buford, GA to enjoy care and comfort with their only daughter, Adriane; son-in-law, Tavarez and grandson, Zechariah.

Surviving is her husband, married 60 years to Walter William Tucker, Jr.; daughter and son-in-law, Adriane & Tavarez Dudley of Buford, GA with grandchild, Zechariah Dudley; her sisters, Delores Bullard (Ed) and Jeanne Rodgers (Dwight) of FL and several nieces & nephews as well as grand-nieces and nephews. Donna is predeceased by siblings Holace Smith, Roger Wright, Richard Wright and Ronnie Wright.

Celebration of Life Service will be held 10 AM, Saturday, February 10th from Victory Hamilton Mill Church, 3015 Pucketts Mill Rd, Buford, GA 30519. Friends may call at the church, 10 AM-10:30 AM, Saturday, prior to the service. Interment will be held at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel and Gardens, 3481 Hamilton Mill Road, Buford GA 30519 following the service.
