Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mrs. Beatrice Maddox Haynes, age 95, of Hull, Georgia who entered rest Sunday February 3, 2024. Mrs. Haynes was born in Hall County, Georgia the daughter of the late Walter Greene Maddox and the late Julia Richardson Maddox. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, J. F. “Bud” Haynes, two sisters, Jeannette Maddox, Gwen Mauldin and four brothers, Artis, Ralph, Eddie and Edward Maddox.
Mrs. Maddox was a homemaker and a member of Erastus Christian Church. She loved to crochet blankets to give to her family members, loved being outdoors working in her yard and helping family in their yards. Most of all everyone thought of her as their mother and grandmother.
Survivors include son, Terry Haynes (wife, Kim) of Hull, Georgia. Three daughters, Louise Haynes of Hull, GA, Loretta Webb of Gainesville, GA and Rebecca Reed (David Evans) of Dawsonville, GA. Seven grandchildren, Chris Haynes of Braselton, GA, Natosha Harned of Braselton, GA, Amanda Ramey (Nekia) of Braselton, GA, Josh Bryan of Buford, GA, Michael Webb (Judith) of Gainesville, GA, Michelle Webb of Gainesville, GA and Jennifer Gayton (Heath) of Toccoa, GA. Fourteen great grandchildren and thirteen great great grandchildren. Several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday February 8, 2024 at Evans Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Steve Parker officiating with interment to follow at Bethabra Baptist Church Cemetery, Hoschton, GA. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5 P.M. until 8 P.M. and Wednesday from 12 P.M. until 8 P.M. at Evans Funeral Home. Honored has pallbearers are Josh Bryan, Michael Webb, Chris Haynes, Larry Maddox, Roger Maddox and Bobby Mendenhall.
