Elizabeth (Beth) Ann Lester, devoted daughter, sister, aunt, friend, and teacher passed away January 30, 2024, at the age of 56.
Beth is survived by her parents, Jack and Louise Lester as well as her siblings Kathy Williams, Donna Lester, and Patman (Susan) Lester. She is also survived by her nephews and niece Jeremy (Sabrina) McNeal, TJ (Cecilia) Williams, Katie (Aaron) Pek, and Nathaniel Lester, as well as four great-nephews, Connor, Matthew, Noah, and Turner.
Beth was born on the twenty-seventh of March 1967 in Oakwood, Georgia where she graduated from Johnson High School in 1985. Beth later attended the University of North Georgia and went on to become a teacher at Gainesville Exploration Academy for twenty years, during which time she received her Master's Degree from Brenau University. Beth was a dedicated teacher and friend at Gainesville Exploration Academy, where her passion for teaching children impacted and changed the lives of many. Beth was known for her sense of humor, enthusiasm, and drive which she displayed daily while mentoring and advocating for children and delighting them through her extravagant costumes on school dress-up days.
A visitation will be held on Friday February 9, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and again from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Little & Davenport Funeral Home. A celebration of life service will be held Saturday February 10 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Little & Davenport Funeral Home. Rev. David Matthews and Rev. Matthew Vandegriff will officiate at the service.

Beth positively impacted the lives of countless children, her friends and coworkers, and her family. The world was a brighter place with Beth, and she will be greatly missed by all.
