Thurmond Henderson, Jr.

Thurmond Henderson, Jr, age 78, of Buford, GA passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2024. He is survived by his children, Kelly Henderson, Thurmond Henderson III, Michelle Jackson, and Walter Lewis Henderson; six grandchildren; several great grandchildren; sisters, Alice Frazier, Peggy Harris, Risby Butler; brothers, Raymond Henderson, Jacob Henderson, Leroy Henderson, Billy Ray Henderson; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mr. Henderson was born on February 13, 1945 in Buford, GA. He graduated in 1963 from Buford High School and worked for the city of Buford in the street department. Mr. Henderson was a veteran of the U S Army from 1965 through 1968, and he was of the Baptist faith. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2024 at 3:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Kenneth Brown officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 10 from 12:30 p.m. until time for the service at 3:30 p.m. Interment with military honors will be on Monday, February 12, 2024 at GA National Cemetery in Canton, GA.
