Gordon Edward Hallman

Mr. Gorden Edward Hallman, age 78, of Dahlonega, Georgia, passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2024. He was born to the late Steve and Willie Nell Lemley Hallman on April 17, 1945.  Gorden loved to cook for others, whether preparing a small meal or a meal for a family gathering.  He enjoyed the outdoors and time spent hunting and fishing. But, the greatest joy in life was being "Papa" to his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother Ralph Hallman and sister and brother-in-law Dianne and Glenn Fair.

Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law Mark and Kristy Hallman of Dahlonega; daughter and son-in-law Joy and Mitch Patton of Blairsville; grandchildren Grant Hallman, Kenadee Hallman, Georgia Patton, Maddox Patton, and Taylor Patton; sister Mildred Crane (Marvin); brothers Joe L. Hallman (Connie) and Stevie Hallman (Faye); and several nieces, nephew and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at Antioch Baptist Church with the Rev. Bobby Whitmire officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, from 12:00 PM until the service hour at Antioch Baptist Church.
