Robert Charles Trammell

Mr. Robert Charles Trammell, age 78, of Dahlonega, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, January 25, 2024. He was born on January 8, 1946, to the late Robert and Gladys Trammell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Jeanette Anderson, Larry Trammell, and Ricky Trammell, as well as brothers-in-law Ray Brewster and Daniel Woody.

Robert was a dedicated member of Salem Baptist Church, where he worshipped for over 50 years. Known for his quick wit, dry sense of humor, and kind heart, he was cherished by all who knew him. He found joy in spending time with his family, tending to his garden, and working in his yard. Robert dedicated many years of his life to his work, first at Pinetree (Burlington Industries) and later at Timken, where he worked for 28 years before retiring.

He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Brenda Wimpy Trammell; his daughter and son-in-law, Ashley and Rodney Lee of Dahlonega; granddaughters Hailey Lee of South Carolina, Ryan Kate Lee, grandson Riley Lee, and Kendal Lee, all of Dahlonega; sisters Linda Brewster of Breman, GA, and Kathy Woody of Kentucky; sisters-in-law Lydia Chadwick (Mason), Patsy Ferguson (Mike), Lou Stewart (Ricky); brother-in-law Kenny Wimpy (Coletis); several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, January 29, 2024, at the chapel of Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home. The service will be officiated by the Rev. Jason Fuller and the Rev. Roger Stover. Interment will follow at Dahlonega Memorial Park, with the Rev. Daniel Sparks officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Sunday at the funeral home.
