Eugene Jackson “Gene” Keller

Mr. Eugene Jackson “Gene” Keller, age 81 of Keller Road, Carnesville, GA, passed away Thursday, January 25, 2024 in the Stephens County Hospital.

A son of the late Roy Jackson and Jewell Bryant Keller, he was born December 27, 1942 in Franklin County, GA where he lived his entire life.  He was employed as a welder with EZ Bore for many years before retirement and was a member of Hunters Creek Baptist Church and was an avid outdoorsman, he loved hunting, fishing and working on old cars and tractors.  He was preceded in death by a son Roy Casey Keller and a brother-in-law: Edward Purcell.

Survivors include his wife Linda Gorman Keller of the home, two daughters; Cindy Ferguson and her husband Phailoth Loonubon of Demorest, GA and Elizabeth Crane and her husband Tony of Clarkesville, GA,, two sons; Wayne Keller and his wife Jenny of Lavonia, GA and Dennis Keller and his wife Cassie of Alto, GA, two sisters; Louise Purcell Edward of Toccoa, GA and Gloria Clark and her husband Ray of Carnesville, GA, 15 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Sunday, January 28, 2024 at 2 PM with the Reverend Bill Hyndman officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, January 28, 2024 from noon until the service time.

Flowers are optional, those desiring may make memorials in his memory to a charity of ones choice.

Cremation will follow the service with the Acree-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory in charge of arrangements for Mr. Eugene Jackson “Gene” Keller.
